You’ll visit 4 fantastic world-class wineries and do PREMIUM guided tasting on this half-day tour with either Delicious Pizzas in lunch or Food platters, (refer to listing) On this tour, firstly we will cover how to taste wine to get the best from your tour. You will learn the winemaking process, understand what a dry wine is, learn what is not. You may have the opportunity on some tours to have your photo taken in a barrel room.

On most tours, you will stop at 2 historic wineries, New Zealand's oldest wine producer, the Mission Estate Winery, and maybe the 3rd oldest winery. Admire the historic building and sample the world-class wines.
Learn the history behind the wineries attended.

You will visit boutique wineries from “very small” to just “small”, in the context of most wineries. Hawkes Bay produces a cooler climate style of wines. Having stated this, we are warmer than our South Island cousins and you can then experience our very different wine styles.

You’ll head back to Napier, travelling along a different route than that you travelled earlier to get a different look at what Hawkes Bay is like.
If the opportunity arises, you will get to hear about our 1931 earthquake and why Napier and Hastings were mostly built in the art deco style.
