What you can expect

  • First, get picked up from your hotel or residence, then head to the Amphitheatre of El Jem (visit). Go south to Matmata, where you discover the underground caves. You will be received by a Berber family. See the Star Wars site (Sidi Driss hotel)
    Travel the last 100 km to reach Douz, where you follow a track into the Sahara (25 km deep) to spend the night in the dunes (tent, sleeping bags, bed, camp blankets, and camp WC are available)
    A private camp made for you
    A night around the campfire with dinner and music
    Day 2: breakfast in the camp, go to the Salt Lake, visit the old medina of Tozeur, visit the Oasis of Chebika, and visit Temegza Waterfall
    Return north to Hammamet, Sousse, or Tunis.
