The Great Wall of China is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was voted one of the New 7 Wonders of the World in 2007. The Great Wall of China was built in different years for different parts. The first walls date to the 7th century BC; these were joined together in the Qin dynasty. The best-known sections were built by the Ming dynasty (1368–1644). The Great Wall of China stretches an astonishing length of about 13,170.7 miles (or 21,196 kilometres). While it is massive, you can’t walk the whole wall.
