Hida Takayama is full of charm at every turn.
15:00 ▼ Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village (90 minutes)
Surrounded by mountains, criss-crossed by rice paddies, and traversed by clear streams, Shirakawa-go is often called the kingdom of forests and rivers. The name “Shirakawa-go” originates from the Shiratani River, which flows from Mount Hakusan and turns a milky white when it merges with the Shogawa River.
