Food is such an important part of the local culture and the city has always been famous for its food tourism. People come from all over the world to visit the many Michelin Star restaurants as well as the cheap-eats from local street vendors and everything in between.<\/p>\n<p>As a lifestyle blogger I pretty much eat and drink for a living so I\u2019ve tried places all over the Hong Kong food spectrum \u2013 mostly great but let\u2019s face it there are also some not so good ones. While it is relatively easy these days to find good restaurant recommendations and avoid the tourist traps, I\u2019m all about the good food experiences. Here are a few places I keep going back to again and again for that little something extra.<\/p>\n<h2>For the best dumplings<\/h2>\n<p>Nope, you won\u2019t find them at a local dim sum house. In my opinion the best dumpling experience in Hong Kong is found at Ho Lee Fook. Served up by Chef Jowett Yu (previously of Mr. Wong and Ms. G\u2019s in Sydney) using his grandma\u2019s secret recipe. Try Mom\u2019s \u2018mostly cabbage, a little bit of pork\u2019 dumplings, but don\u2019t be surprised when they\u2019re the most meaty, delicious dumplings you\u2019ve ever had! If you\u2019re after a more local experience, I suggest trying Lok Cha Tea House \u2013 the best vegetarian Dim Sum and set in an old colonial house in Hong Kong Park. What more could you want?\u00a0<em><a title=\"Ho Lee Fook\" href=\"http:\/\/holeefookhk.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ho Lee Fook<\/a>,\u00a01 Elgin St, Central,\u00a0<a title=\"Lok Cha Tea House\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lockcha.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lok Cha Tea House<\/a>,\u00a0K.S Lo Gallery, Hong Kong Park\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Fine dining<\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re after a really special night out, Fish and Meat in Lan Kwai Fong is where it\u2019s at. The interiors are stunning (although I\u2019m a little bias as my boyfriend did them), they serve my favourite cocktail in the entire city \u2013 The Farmhouse Jam \u2013 not to mention the incredible food. My favourite dish is the Duck Egg Ravioli but everything on the menu is good! It\u2019s a little pricey but well worth the amazing dining experience. For a weekend getaway, you can\u2019t miss Limewood in Repulse Bay (also designed by my boyfriend!), which has the perfect beach vibe you\u2019ll want on a Sunday afternoon. Don\u2019t miss their Vietnamese Pork Neck Salad and the Salted Caramel Expresso Martinis.
