From the churches and chapels to fashion houses and fine dining, you can expect to find plenty of flair expressed in Italian creativity. That also extends to the hotels. This very special hotel is located outside of Verona, in a 15th century villa. It has been lovingly restored and transformed by the family owners of the Byblos fashion house. From the exterior, it’s a beautifully presented Italian villa. Step inside and be prepared to be wowed. The walls and room are the canvas for the family’s extensive private art and design collection. Architect and designer Alessandro Mendini is responsible for the elecitc mix of works by heavyweights including\u00a0Philippe Starck, Damien Hurst,\u00a0Eero Aarnio and Ron Arad, to name a few. We’re not just talking about a feature wall or two \u2013 expect pink men hanging from the\u00a0architraves, wild corridors and wacky furniture.
