FAENA Hotel, Buenos Aires<\/a><\/h2>\n

You don’t go to Buenos Aires without expecting a little dramatic flair and this design hotel doesn’t disappoint. Housed in a grain storage silo built back in 1902, Faena Hotel was designed by interior guru Philip Stark. He has gone all out \u2013 expect a giant crown in the pool, Unicorn heads mounted on the walls of the dining room, red velvet drapes in the lobby and plenty of Baccarat crystal around the place.<\/p>\n

Blue Palace Resort & Spa, Crete<\/a><\/h2>\n

You can’t get much closer to paradise than the island of Crete, and at the Blue Palace Resort & Spa, you’ve entered Nirvana. Perched on the edge of the Island’s famous Elounda Coast, this five star resort is designed for absolute relaxation. Head to the private beach for a day by the sea, or book into the award winning spa, where you can get a massage so close to the water, you’ll hear it lapping against the shore. The resort looks straight out at Spinalonga Island and the view is breathtaking.<\/p>\n

Hamurana Lodge, Rotorua<\/a><\/h2>\n

Rotorua’s\u00a0thermal mud pools attract plenty of travellers, who happily ignore the pungent aroma from all the geothermal activity. Luckily it doesn’t take long for you to get used to the smell, and stepping inside Hamurana Lodge, it’s long forgotten. Just 15 minutes from the centre of town, the art deco rooms are a little taste of old world glamour. With outdoor pool, tennis courts and a bar on site, you’re all set.<\/p>\n

Cape Royale Luxury Hotel and Spa, Cape Town<\/a><\/h2>\n

Just 300m from the V&A waterfront and a world away from the hustle and bustle, this stunning all-suite property brings old world glamour to life. Expect chandeliers combined with modern furnishings. The rooftop pool is a chic spot to chill out, with day beds and deck chairs, looking out over the Table Mountains.<\/p>\n

Stamford Plaza, Brisbane<\/a><\/h2>\n

You don’t get much better than this if you’re after a CBD, riverside hotel in Brisbane. The Stamford Plaza makes the most of its position, with lovely outdoor eating areas looking out at the Story Bridge. Book in for afternoon tea on a clear day and enjoy the sunshine. The hotel is just around the corner from the City Botanical Gardens and is a short walk from the Queen St shopping precinct.<\/p>\n
