Is dawn your favourite time of day? Do you leap out of bed, check the surf cams, grab your board and hit the beach? We asked professional surfer Luke Egan for his Listopedia Surfing Bucket List.<\/p>\n

Keramas, Bali<\/h2>\n

Personally,\u00a0Komune Resort & Beach Club<\/a>\u00a0in Bali plays host to one of my favorites waves in the world.<\/p>\n

Keramas, located right in front of Komune Resort, is without a doubt one of the best high performance right-hand reef breaks around, with a big barrel section at takeoff that opens up to an incredible high performance wave. The wave can be surfed day and night \u2013 yes, 24 hour surfing, thanks to light installations illuminating the waves.<\/p>\n

Keramas beach plays host each June to the ASP Bali WCT Pro, so the world\u2019s best surfers can often be seen putting on mind blowing surfing displays.<\/p>\n

I love going to Komune with my family. They get to kick back on a big day bed at the pool, with great coffee, drinks and food, while I’m right out front surfing. A must see wave and a cool place to bring your family for a chilled out holiday \u2013 what more do you need?<\/p>\n

J-bay (Jeffreys Bay), South Africa<\/h2>\n

Known as one of the greatest waves in the world, J-Bay is African perfection. I\u2019m forever in awe of the consistently powerful and clean right-hander.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a reason why it attracts surfers from all around the globe.\u00a0The bay hosts the Billabong ASP world tour event \u2018Super Tubes\u2019, so I get to compete among the various breaks in the area. The waves are renowned for their long, fast rides, going for 300m of more at a time. It\u2019s the ultimate ride!<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a keen surfer on the search for perfection, then J-Bay is the place for you. Check into the\u00a0Super Tubes Guesthouse<\/a>\u00a0and you won’t miss any of the action \u2013 the property has direct access to the beach.<\/p>\n

Namotu, Fiji<\/h2>\n

Namotu Island in\u00a0Fiji<\/a>\u00a0is full on fun. If I\u2019m not surfing, I\u2019m fishing monster tuna at this thrill seekers Mecca.<\/p>\n

This island has seven unique surf breaks right near by, including the infamous Cloudbreak, a perfect left generated by huge south swells. This is not a ride not for the faint of heart.<\/p>\n

Namotu sits on the edge of the Mamanuca archipelago, so even if surfing isn\u2019t your thing, this island will keep you entertained. The big game fishing and snorkeling is beyond incredible. For world-class fishing, head out on \u2018The Duck\u2019, Namotu\u2019s 28-foot sports fishing boat.<\/p>\n

You can jig, pop or troll your way to the catch of a lifetime, and the best part is, whatever you catch ends up on your dinner plate that night!<\/p>\n

There are countless reefs to explore and the staff are super friendly and welcoming, always making you feel at home in the middle of the pacific ocean.<\/p>\n

G-land (Indo) Bobby\u2019s Surf Camp, Bali<\/h2>\n

Bobby\u2019s G Land in Indonesia is a spot like no other. The jungle style surf camp in\u00a0Kuta<\/a>\u00a0brings you back to basics and allows you to focus on your surfing.<\/p>\n

Also known as Bobby\u2019s camp, the Balinese location plays hosts to some hard core waves, which are up there amongst the best reef breaks in the world.<\/p>\n

If you live and breathe surfing, then G Land is the place for you. I can go to Bobby\u2019s camp and leave behind the distractions of modern luxuries. This is a great spot to train and surf top quality waves with other committed surfers.<\/p>\n

The Superbank, Coolangatta Gold Coast<\/h2>\n

Stretching from Snapper rocks through the picturesque greenmount beach and on great days all the way through to Kirra on the Gold Coast, the world famous “Super bank” is one of my favorite breaks in the world. A single wave was ridden here for over 2 km a few years back.<\/p>\n

A long right hand point break has amazing variety of barrels and long roping walls that you can ride until your legs give out.<\/p>\n

Each year Snapper Rocks plays host to the Quicksilver Pro, a point break which forms part of the world famous man-made \u2018Superbank\u2019.<\/p>\n

Komune Gold Coast<\/a>\u00a0is a cool little hotel right in front of the greenmount section of the Superbank. It\u2019s got the best spot for ocean views and spectacular sunsets looking almost west over the ocean.<\/p>\n

Komune\u2019s beach club has a great surf culture scene, with epic sunset sessions. Expect live bands and DJs each weekend.<\/p>\n
