That doesn\u2019t mean a visit to Abu Dhabi won\u2019t be an eye opener \u2013 you\u2019ll be amazed by the culture, industry and activities you can get up to in 24 hours.<\/p>\n<h2>Yas Island<\/h2>\n<p>Expedia travellers with families head straight Yas Island for the incredible\u00a0<a title=\"Expedia Yas Water World\" href=\"http:\/\/www.expedia.co.nz\/pubspec\/scripts\/eap.asp?GOTO=TSHOPSDETAIL&amp;LocationID=453&amp;OfferingID=17714?brancdcid=blog.article.abudhabi_270114\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yas Waterworld<\/a>\u00a0(essential on a winter day, a life saver in Summer) with its 43 rides, diving shows and even underwater dancing displays. Then there\u2019s the even more mind blowing\u00a0<a title=\"Expedia Ferrari World \" href=\"http:\/\/www.expedia.co.nz\/pubspec\/scripts\/eap.asp?GOTO=TSHOPSDETAIL&amp;LocationID=453&amp;OfferingID=17354?brancdcid=blog.article.abudhabi_270114\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferrari World<\/a>, a theme park built by Ferrari with 20 rides for wannabe petrol heads of all ages. It includes the fastest roller coaster in the world. If you\u2019re a serious Formula 1 fan, you\u2019ll already know Yas Island is home to a F1 track \u2013 which actually runs straight through the\u00a0<a title=\"Expedia Yas Viceroy \" href=\"http:\/\/www.expedia.co.nz\/Abu-Dhabi-Emirate-Hotels-Yas-Viceroy-Abu-Dhabi.h2976113.Hotel-Information?brancdcid=blog.article.abudhabi_270114\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yas Viceroy<\/a>\u00a0hotel. Book early to get a window room and you won\u2019t even need to go outside to watch. For the thrill of the engines roaring, a tipple on the pool deck would be perfect too. But wait, that\u2019s not all. Culture vultures will also flock to the area, especially in a few years, when it becomes home to world class art. Neighbouring Saadiyat Island is in the throes of becoming home to outposts of the Louvre and Guggenheim, showcasing art and artefacts that are usually rotated into storage at their namesake locations.
