You heard it here first!<\/p>\n<p>I combined mouse and town (after all, 99% of visitors still come here to see the mighty mouse). Expedia\u2019s Kiwi Travellers stay around 3-4 days in the area and that\u2019s plenty of time to do Disneyland and Anaheim. Many savvy travellers are staying at hotels outside of Disneyland \u2013 <a title=\"Expedia Doubletree by Hilton Anaheim\" href=\"http:\/\/www.expedia.co.nz\/Orange-County-Hotels-DoubleTree-By-Hilton-Anaheim-Orange-County.h4582.Hotel-Information?brandcid=blog.article.anaheim.august_05082013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DoubleTree by Hilton Anaheim<\/a> and <a title=\"Expedia Ayres Hotel Anaheim\" href=\"http:\/\/www.expedia.co.nz\/Orange-County-Hotels-Ayres-Hotel-Anaheim.h797111.Hotel-Information?brandcid=blog.article.anaheim.august_05082013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ayres Hotel Anaheim<\/a> are two of the most popular.<\/p>\n<p>I was really wowed at this new heart that\u2019s beating to life. Here\u2019s a few tips on what to see in Anaheim.<\/p>\n<h2>Packing House<\/h2>\n<p>This original citrus packing house was built in 1919, back in the agricultural days for which Orange County is named. Left derelict for a number of years,\u00a0<a title=\"Packing House\" href=\"http:\/\/anaheimpackingdistrict.com\/packing-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Packing House<\/a>\u00a0been bought up and given a makeover. As we speak it\u2019s becoming a home to a fabulous food hall. The collection of eateries offering all sorts of cuisine with outdoor areas and fresh produce is set to open this year. Next door is Farmers Park, where live music will entertain strollers and picnickers.<\/p>\n<h2>Packard Building<\/h2>\n<p>In the same block as the Packing House, the old Packard Car Showroom now houses the very trendy\u00a0<a title=\"Umami Burger\" href=\"http:\/\/www.umami.com\/umami-burger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Umami Burger<\/a>\u00a0and boutique\u00a0<a title=\"Anaheim Brewery\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anaheimbrew.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anaheim Brewery<\/a>. And how cool is this? When excavating the building site they discovered hundreds of 1929 old rusty license plates destined for Model T\u2019s and the like. Thanks to some very creative interior designer, they\u2019ve been modelled into wall art and chandeliers.<\/p>\n<p>Even cooler, Umami Burger has had the big Thumbs Up (ok actually a Tweet) from Ashton Kutcher and that has seen it hurtle into best burger in town spot.
