Amazing location, clean, well stocked with extra necessities that you don’t typically find.

The Ink48 now for several years is one of my/our go to places in NYC; the rooms are still attractively shaped, the renovated breakfast restaurant is stylish and the food from the menu tasty and reasonably priced with the evening roof top place still hip and menu interesting (the view in all directions is still beautiful). However the front desk has lost some of its a-tentativeness, we now have a routine to immediately ask for extra towels and washcloths at time of check-in. While the room bar is stacked, the selection of amnemities is poor (can’t get a hot cup of water for bedtime tea, no coffee machine, q-tips, extra toothbrush?). A real bummer this time was the waiting time to receive the car back from valet, 1h20 minutes… and we were not alone. A couple needed to return their rental to catch an EWR flight; hope they made it! We were to pickup someone arriving by train and arrived severely delayed! The present INK48 valet arrangement is not acceptable; be forewarned!

This is a very old hotel which charges a LOT of money for a very standard room with horrible views. Very few amenities and outdated room decor and heating/air conditioning. Aside from the location close to Times Square, it has little to offer for $500 per night for a small, dingy room. Staff was unhelpful and seemed to have an attitude. We arrived a bit early and asked for an early check-in and were told that they had rooms available for an extra $60. WHAT??? I am paying over $500 for an overnight stay and you have rooms available but you have the nerve to charge additional money? Asked to leave our bags until check in and we were even CHARGED for THAT standard service. Never again. Do better Hotel Edison.

The lady that checked us in was amazing. She made sure she found the perfect room for our stay. The door men were also really helpful and polite. Well done guys.
