Barlavento Islands Ski Holidays

Our stay was okay. We planned on swimming, but the pools were closed for construction. I suggest the hotel build an indoor pool for guests in the winter time.

Rooms and the entire property are elegantly maintained!

I complained with the manager of the hotel and housekeeping for the poor management of my request to clean my room after the toilet got clogged. 9 am I requested to have the room clean (while we are out of the hotel) but returned to the hotel at around 2PM and the room was not cleaned yet. I called like 4 times and everytime I called, I was told that the cleaner is on its way (1st call was told it will only take 15-20 minutes) and took about an hour until after I complained that the cleaner arrived. When I spoke with another housekeeper on line and the manager I was told that all my earlier calls were not recorded (which explained why the room was not cleaned and the follow up cleaner never arrived). Its very frustrating.

The rooms was gorgeous! Theres optilns to control the shades with controls on the walls as well as the bedside tablet (which you could also use fpr room service) the nearby stores and restaurants were amazing! I recommend Din Tai Fung and their incredible lychee martini :) 10/10

Property is great, looks very new and staff is very helpful. The resort fee is outrageous though since its not a casino / there is no restaurant on site and there are not that many amenities plus pool was closed
