This is not downtown, but it is a good location that splits the difference between the airport and CBD. I walk, and it’s an easy (but longish) walk to the city center. Bus service is also frequent, and there is direct service to both the CBD and airport. It’s super clean, super quiet, and very comfy. It has a kitchenette. It’s overall a great spot.

Nice hotel with good location, especially if you like cafes or the rugby stadium. I think it’s definitely value for money and will stay here again.

Our major problem was a that the property uses a lockbox for the key card. There is a phone number to call for problems but many travel phone plans do not have voice access - only data. So we could only communicate through the expedia messaging app without any clear signals that these messages would even be read or that we could access the property that night. Ultimately - over about an hour - things worked out but it was a very frustrating experience.
Having said that the property was lovely and perfectly located and priced well. And we ended up staying an extra two nights.

The Ramada is a great venue. In walking distance to Riverside market, Shopping district and Arts Centre
Directly opposite to Te Kaha Stadium, this is my 3rd stay in 6 months.
