It was our first time in Black Hawk and we loved it! We’re so happy we chose to stay at The Monarch. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. The service was excellent. The restaurants weren’t the greatest but we’ll definitely stay there again.

Cute hotel. Good breakfast. Room was dusty. It felt like maybe that room had not been used in a week or two, and that that was the last time it was cleaned. A layer of dust was on everything and some dust bunnies on the floors as well. One night they were closed for a private event so we were limited to the areas we could enjoy. It wasn't a terrible stay but it also wasn't worth the price I paid.

The location was nice and convenient for shopping. The hot tube area was very small. I was looking for nice outdoor area to relax and it only had four chairs.
