Decent room size for Midtown. The heat was not working, so after I advised them, they placed a space heater in the room. Otherwise fine.

Hotel is well located with comfortable beds and a decent shower. However, poorly sealed single pane windows let in lots of cold and noise. Furniture is very plain and there are few decorations in the room making it feel generic and a little unwelcoming.

This is a beautiful hotel which has maintained it's old-world charm. The staff were all so preofessional but also genuinely warm and friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the beds and linens very comfortable and the bathrooms updated but blended well with the decor. The rooftop bar/restaurant has wonderful views and again very clean with excellent coffee and food. The hotel is centrally located in Manhattan which makes anything you have planeed easy to access.

The breakfast vouchers were great and the two nicest girls at the front desk got us upgraded room with a balcony overlooking 48 and Lexington. Great view perfect location hotel

Overall great stay and beautiful property. Most of the staff were really kind and welcoming, especially the doormen and the front desk gentleman that checked us in late at night. Every employee you walked past said hello. Some of the housekeeping staff on the phone were rude when calling for items. After checkin I noticed our sink was leaking and there was still left over items from a previous guest in the drawer under the sink (used ziplock bag and dirty makeup brush). Sink was fixed as soon as I let them know in the AM, but housekeeping should pay closer attention to cleaning. Room was nice and spacious for New York standards, we were in a 2 bed room. Beds were comfortable and good water pressure/hot water for the shower. I thought it was very odd housekeeping didn’t refill your waters or amenities daily (q-tips, cotton rounds, shower cap, etc.)- you had to call for everything to get refilled. We even ran out of toilet paper. Didn’t use the gym or come by for social hour or morning coffee/tea but sounds like a great touch for early mornings or waiting for your room. Common waiting areas were nice and spacious, lots of space to sit. Location is prime, around the corner from Tompkins bagels, Los tacos No. 1, 5th Ave, and <5 min walk to grand central station. Always felt safe. Last thing that put a huge damper was we were next to a connecting room and those people were so loud at 2AM, and then 4AM the next night. Yelling, dropping things, on the phone…terrible.
