Sand Island Mountain Holidays

Property was very nice overall and well located near the beach and restaurants. My only major complaint is the connecting rooms you can hear literally EVERYTHING in the next room, it feels like you’re sharing your room with strangers. I would stay again only if I didn’t have a room with a connecting door.

The hotel was very crowded. It took us 1 hour to check in. To be able to go to our floor, we had to wait 5 minutes since there was another line over there. We purchased breakfast when we booked and had to go to breakfast at 6-6:30am since there is a long line and long waiting times for the breakfast. The breakfast does have bagels and croissant from Walmart. No pancake, no omelette or another specialty item. We purchased breakfast for our son and they charged 42$ for the weak content. Poolside is also terrible. There are no umbrellas available to rent. You sit under tropical sun (40-45 degree Celsius) without a shade etc. The rooms are not cleaned until 2pm and to be able to reach our rooms, you have to wait 5-10 minutes for the elevators (no AC in elevators). We planned to stay in this hotel for 1 week and we had to check out/escape after our 3rd day. Overall, this hotel does not offer a calming vacation, instead it offers competition for all amenities, very low quality breakfast, beach/poolside without shade and extremely unfriendly staff. I wish we never chose to have our vacation there.
