"We stayed at Oohira hotel in October to use it as a base for hiking. It is perfectly located, near the top end of Zao Onsen, right next to the base of the mountain and the big Zao outdoor onsen. We found it with no issues, and the hotel will pick you up from the bus station if you call in advance. ..."

"I really don’t know how to review this. It was difficult to get to. The road was steep and dangerous. We were worried our car won’t make it. The hotel is at the top of the mountain. The onsen and the view were great. The food fantastic. Free drinks and cheap alcohol amazing. But... it was super old, ..."
