We absolutely loved our stay at Pensão Amor! The hotel is full of personality, with a playful, romantic, slightly cheeky theme that makes exploring the property genuinely fun without ever feeling over the top. There are so many delightful little details throughout the hotel that we found ourselves noticing something new every time we walked around. The location is fantastic — right on Pink Street, in the heart of the action, with restaurants, bars, and so much to explore just steps away. Despite being in such a lively area, our room felt incredibly private and peaceful. The soundproof windows were a huge plus and made it surprisingly quiet at night. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a prude, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from a sexually themed hotel, but Pensão Amor struck the perfect balance. It felt fun, tasteful, and intriguing rather than uncomfortable or excessive. There was plenty to discover and enjoy while still feeling completely safe and comfortable. Overall, it was such a memorable and unique place to stay — romantic, quirky, private, and perfectly situated for exploring Lisbon. We would absolutely stay here again!

Good location, spacious rooms, helpful staff

Great WhatsApp communication throughout the entire stay. Parking in the secure garage across the street is a bonus. Rooms are big and well air conditioned. Great location to everything. Since location is right next to Pink Street, it gets quite loud at night till 2:30a. The window thickness helps a lot. Was hard for me as a light sleeper.

We stayed at Montecarmo 12 in early August for four nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel is in a delightful location in the comparatively quiet Principe Real neighborhood, within short walking distance to the Botanical Gardens, numerous restaurants, and the beautiful terrace overlook Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara, with nightly live music and an outdoor "food court", just on the edge of Alta. The hotel itself was amazing: we stayed in a Premium Double Room with Terrace with a great view on the third floor. The room was comfortable and nicely equipped, with beautifully tasteful decor. The bathroom was fantastic: dual shower heads, a large tub, and again, beautiful. The hotel staff were a standout factor for us: from pre-checkin to reception to checkout, the kitchen staff to housekeeping, everyone was wonderful. Esther and Margarida in particular went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, and our anniversary was everything we hoped for. Breakfast in the courtyard was something to look forward to every morning. Highly recommend Montecarmo 12 as a base for exploring Lisbon!

Good location, spacious rooms, helpful staff

The hotel was very clean and that included our room. The staff was extremely helpful. They arranged all our transport. We ate dinner in the restaurant too and the food was excellent. Breakfast was included and it had hot food choices that were made when ordered. We would definitely stay there again.
