One of the best hotel experiences ever, great mix of facilities and the staff amazing and welcoming always happy to go above and beyond.

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Grand Ambassador in Akrotiri, Santorini. This hotel advertises itself as a 5-star property, but my experience did not reflect that standard. The room had an ants problem. I reported it to the staff and the manager, but nothing was done to resolve the issue during my stay. It's unacceptable to ignore a basic cleanliness concern like this. Though they cleaned everyday but it never took care of the ants. They needed to hire a company and spray the property. The hotel also advertises king-size beds, but the bed in my room was actually a queen, which was misleading. The manager argued it was a king and send someone else to measure. Come to find out the bed IS a queen size. He stated that he order king size and thats what he received. I paid for a king size bed not a queen. He didnt bother of trying to find another room or make it right. In addition, several fixtures in the room were outdated or in poor condition, making the room feel poorly maintained. The property was amazing with a beautiful panoramic view. The floor staff was super friendly. For a hotel that is advertising to be 5 stars, I expected much better service, maintenance, and honesty . Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations, and I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, with exceptional service and breathtaking views. It's hands down the best location between Oia and Fira. We had an incredible stay, and I'll definitely be returning!

The check-in was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a variety of dishes, and the wait staff was very courteous and helpful. The accommodation was neat and clean with 2 windows providing light and fresh air. The bed was comfortable. The road directly in front of hotel was extremely busy with traffic and very noisy. If you wanted to go for a walk, it would not be peaceful and much care needed to be taken to keep safe with all the traffic and narrow space to walk at some points on the road. The patio just outside the accommodation was very small, about 4 feet by 8ft. and offered very little privacy. The pool did have lounge chairs and umbrellas, but not that many. If you didn't go to the pool early enough, you would not get a lounge chair. The staff did not open the pool umbrellas. So, the guests needed to raise the umbrellas which was quite difficult since the locking pin was hard to insert, and much force was needed to push the umbrella up. The afternoon sun was very intense, and the umbrellas did not tilt to block the sun, so there was almost no place to sit with shelter from the sun. The pool area could have been cleaner, as there was an old, stained cigarette butt near the individual table and chewing gum stuck on the table on the lower flat surface.
