The public areas of the hotel are very nice and clean, traditional decor and architecture. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast buffet had good variety. I didnt see any mention of this in the amenities, but the spa area is not accessible if you have tattoos. One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the spa and was excited about it prior to arrival. I know this is a traditional rule for onsen or public baths, but some do allow tattoos so it wouldve been nice to know upfront that this one does not. Also, when I walked in my room I immeadiately noticed a large gunky stain on the sheer curtain. There is no way the last person that serviced the room didnt see it. Finally, it wasnt until the 3rd shower that I mastered how to keep the flimsy curtain from clinging to me while I showered.
