Peruvian Highlands Honeymoon Holidays

Two things: pick up at train station as promised was late, so I had already given up and turned my phone data on (costs $) to find my way to the hotel when suddenly he showed up. If there’s one thing to do at the outset, is ge the pickup right. Not the best foot forward. Also, the spa seemed confused a flustered when I walked in without a reservation just to have a sauna and hot bath on my own as a Day Pass. The spa seemed empty, and no English spoken, which is a little surprising since the package pamphlet was bilingual. Anyway, I tried to communicate but gave up as not worth the confusion. The dinner the second night was a bit of a challenge as the restaurant was full and after 20 minutes had to ask for someone to take my order. The food itself was excellent.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Ana Flores for her outstanding customer service, clear and timely communication, and dedication to ensuring everything went smoothly. Thank you as well to Jonathan Ysimura for stepping in during Ana’s absence, providing thoughtful follow-up, and promptly addressing my questions and concerns. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel for your exceptional hospitality and for making my mother feel so welcomed and cared for during her birthday stay. She had nothing but wonderful things to say about the experience, the service, and the warmth of the team. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the care and attention shown to my mother. It truly means the world to me. Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel will absolutely be my top choice for any future travel, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and heartfelt stay. Five out of five stars—without hesitation!

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa del Sol. Maylin in particular was super friendly, patient, and always willing to help when we needed directions or had questions getting around. She made everything a lot easier. There was also a man who helped us with our bags as soon as we got off the train. He was incredibly welcoming and set a really good first impression for the hotel. The room was comfortable and the location was great. A beautiful view of the river running along the rear of the hotel greeted us from our room. The only thing I wished we had known ahead of time is that if you turn the thermostat all the way down, it can freeze up when it’s humid and cause a big leak when it melts. Not a huge deal, but it would’ve been nice to get a heads-up. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back.
