"Breakfast was very good and in a lovely peaceful garden.
Staff in the hotel were fantastic, really helpful even under pressure. It was horribly hot the weekend that we were there (unusual for Cardiff) but they did everything possible to make us comfortable with fans (no air-conditioning)."
"The hotel could be amazing but unfortunately it is now dated and needs to be refurbished. The standard twin room does not have an overhead shower and the room was dated and shabby. There was no bottled water as stated either.
The room was also very hot and they do not provide fans as standard.
The pool is lovely but does need a little TLC and the showers in the changing rooms are extremely hot. As is the general temperature of the changing rooms.
There was an issue with scolding hot water from...
"We have stayed here several times. Most recently in the build up to our wedding at Hensol Castle. The facilities and rooms are great, the breakfast is fantastic and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We are staying again tomorrow night and very much looking forward to it."

Spacious comfortable rooms, with beds that are so comfortable, sleep is no problem at all! Peaceful too. Great choice at breakfast, with a check-out time of midday that allows you to go for a swim in the fabulous pool, enjoy the jacuzzi and the steam room. The perfect start to any day. Great location, right by Cardiff Castle & everything Cardiff has to offer. Don't forget your...

Dinner in the grill was exceptionally good and descent price. Breakfast was best £9 each i have ever spent, but book it with booking or it £24 each in hotel. The breakfast had everything you could possible want and every ingredient was of excellent quality. Highly recommend this hotel. We plan to go back...
