Thailand Honeymoon Holidays

I have stayed at The Mandarin all my visits to Bangkok and I have always enjoyed it. Great location, wonderful and helpful staff. Great response to guests. It’s slightly showing its age but still well maintained. The breakfast selection has always been good and expansive

Good hotel, clean. I used the coin laundry which I appreciate. Pit was super helpful, many thanks to him.

good and fast. love the location

They gave us 5pm check out due power out 3 hours day before.

The Paradox resort is very well located within proximity to Karon beach, shops, bars amd restaurants. Our room was upgraded to the penthouse suite which is very spacious and it even has a mini pool on the roof. Unfortunately, there was a lot of rain the first day and there were several leaks from the ceiling and sliding door that made it a bit uncomfortable. We contacted the front desk and they offered to move us to another room but with all the rain going on, we decided to just stay in the same room. The staff was gracious to bring plenty of towels to absorb the water and replenished them often. I was also granted a late check out on our last day that was very convenient since we were catching a later flight to go home. The food was excellent including the breakfast buffet and in room dining menu offered a variety of dishes. The pool and surrounding areas were well maintained also. Overall the staff and services were very attentive however the property needs some updates. I would stay here again but in a different room.

Avista Hideaway is absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately the customer service did not match the property. For a luxury resort, we expected a much more seamless experience. Throughout our stay, there were repeated miscommunications and a general lack of organization. At one point, I was transferred 3 times just to get an answer to a basic question. We also canceled a dinner reservation in person that morning with a reservations staff member at the restaurant. Despite that, we received multiple calls about it while we were sleeping, unnecessarily interrupting our rest. On checkout day, our luggage could not be located when it was time to catch our airport ride. Service at the pool bar was inconsistent, with bartenders struggling to make drinks listed on their own menu. The exception was the rooftop bartender, who was fantastic! He was personable, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations. He was a highlight of our stay. We were initially torn between Avista and another Phuket resort, and unfortunately, this experience made us question our choice. It’s a shame because the resort has so much potential, but beautiful surroundings can’t make up for repeated service issues. We left a bit disappointed

Good location with a relaxing pool area to hang at. Friendly staff and a nice restaurant on the upper floors if you’re into Mexican cuisine and beverages.
