Great River Road Golf Holidays

I would give it a complete 5 stars, overall, the staff was friendly the hotel was clean, the room was great outside of the couch that had a slight smell to it and you could see where there were a couple of big stains. The smell was exasperated by the heat. The windows faced the sun in the afternoon and the room was hot, even over night. That is something beyond the hotel's control, unless maybe they put more expensive tint? We ended up keeping the blackout curtains closed for that day, it was unusually hot outside with a high heat index. The view was beautiful though, you could see the bridge lit up at night. The next day it wasn't a hot and the smell was gone. The voucher is for several experiences that total $135. If you have a late arrival after 10, the door will be locked and only accessible with a room key. I pushed the button for devalue minutes but no one came, eventually another guest walked out and we got in. If we didn't have bags, I don't think they would have opened it. So the hotel is secure, no one can follow you up on the elevator either. I will definitely stay again.

The cable tv was out the whole time we were there that was the only downfall other than that very clean. Very helpful. Staff would recommend.

Great Metairie location - very convenient. Very nice and clean, but needs more interior design finishes (art on the wall, a rug or two, more pillows on the bed, a couple throw pillows on the couch, etc).

Loved this hotel! Such an iconic place to stay in New Orleans especially with all the history it has. Room service was impeccable and they replaced the toiletries and cleaned the carpet every day. Staff was also incredibly kind and the location is unbeatable. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because the hotel room was outdated but I supposed someone else could see it as charming!

The only thing that was just a little disappointing, no pool! But other than that. The stay was great!!!

The staff at this hotel were so attentive and the hotel is very well maintained. I can’t wait to come back to this hotel!
