Writing When booking through Expedia, please ensure that all guest and package details are correctly selected and reflected in your reservation. Otherwise, the hotel reception may classify the booking as double occupancy and request additional payment for extra guests, even if those charges have already been paid through Expedia. This appears to be a disconnect between Expedia and the hotel, which can create an awkward experience when front desk staff repeatedly verify booking details. There also seemed to be a lack of coordination between the hotel departments. Despite having booked a full-board package and paid all charges in advance, restaurant staff frequently asked how we intended to settle the bill, which detracted from the overall guest experience. Overall, the stay was pleasant. However, given the reputation of the Westin brand, I expected a smoother experience. One of our rooms was not made available until 6:00 PM, and there was little effort to compensate for the inconvenience or make us feel valued as guests. While the property itself was enjoyable, the service and operational issues resulted in an experience that fell short of expectations.
