The staff were amazingly helpful. The property itself is a bit old. The room was next to the road and it was very loud even for us that do not mind the noise. Also the window didnt have the curtain and there was no way you could cover, except we used the bath mat otherwise the light was so bright whole night.

Across street from Botanical garden. Friendly staff. Parking is accessible. Kitchenette. Clean, well equipped bathroom. Bed was acceptable for an innerspring mattress. Overall a pleasant stay.

Had to ask for the heat to be turned on. After the room never got any warmer had to call front desk. They brought up a portable heater which did help. Turned heater off for the night and room temperature went back down by the morning. Also, it’s necessary to navigate stairs to get to room. Elevator does not open at floor level

One of the best accommodations we have EVER stayed in, plus it was super convenient for visiting our University of Otago student. Parking was included just steps from the building and the property was very well maintained. Our suite was sparkling clean, the kitchenette had everything needed for our stay, the bathtub was amazing, and the bed was supremely comfortable. We also appreciated the clear and helpful communications from the owners and the lovely territorial views of the city from the suite's balcony. Bluestone on George is a top-notch boutique property - we highly recommend it!

This is a wonderful hotel but was very disappointed with the staff on check in. We arrived after 2pm, check in was 2pm, and the room wasn't ready. We sat in the foyer for almost an hour then when I approached the Duty Manager he me told the room had been ready for awhile. Clearly they hadn't noted that I was sitting in the foyer with a person in a wheelchair and approached us to say that the room was ready. Secondly in order to eat at the in-house restaurant we were made to go out in the cold and go through the kitchen. There is clearly no wheelchair access to the restaurant and this is not made clear or signposted anywhere that we could see. In other places we have stayed they have had a chair lift that will take the person in the wheelchair to the dining room. This was some what disappointing and extremely demeaning to have to go through the kitchen. Notwithstanding that we had to exit the building on a very cold morning in order to get to the restaurant for breakfast
