The hotel, built in 1882, has an interesting history and architecture. That, and the central location are why I chose to stay there, in transit, from an international flight. Unfortunately, at least the room to which I was allocated; was very tired looking. Lots of easy maintenance issues, chipped paint, clock time not reset from standard time…

Room was nice pretty small but makes sense for nyc. The only thing that was annoying was the shower had for curtain or anything so water got everywhere and flooded bathroom easily. Other than that it was a great stay!
