Unfortunately, our stay at Go Hotel Østerport was extremely disappointing. We were not informed upon arrival that major construction was taking place around the hotel, despite it being directly outside our bedroom window. On both mornings, construction started at around 8am and continued until we left around 10–11am. It was incredibly loud, with workers shouting, dropping materials and playing music. It was so loud that we couldn’t even hold a normal conversation in our room, let alone sleep or relax. We have videos showing the construction directly outside our window. The workers were also directly outside our room, meaning we couldn’t open the blinds without losing our privacy. Our room didn’t have a proper main light either, so we were essentially left in the dark for large parts of our stay. We spoke to three members of staff. Two ladies were very kind, but unfortunately no solution was offered and we were never offered a different room. The manager was polite and clearly upset by our experience and kindly gave us a free luggage locker, which we appreciated, but this didn’t address the main issues. We were also not told there was a charge for luggage storage when we asked about it. The whole point of a hotel is to provide a comfortable, peaceful and private place to sleep and relax, and unfortunately we did not get that on either night. Had we been informed about the construction, we could have requested another room or stayed elsewhere.

Amazingly modern and beautiful hotel! Self check in and checkout were easy, the code system worked really well and the breakfast was absolutely spectacular!! Comfy beds, huge high pressure fantastic showers and an overall great experience! Couldn’t ask for a better hotel!
