Fiordland National Park Area Cheap Holidays

Our room reeked of onions and body odor. Opening all the windows barely helped, and when we spoke to the front desk about changing rooms, they came and checked out the room but didn't notice the awful smell and said it was fine! My nose isn't very sensitive, and even I smelled it the second I walked in. The front desk person wasn't too willing to check if another room was available and made a big production of how they had to call management to see about switching our room if a room was even available... It was late, and we were tired, so we just gave up. Also, there were motion sensor lights right outside the door that were constantly going on and off all night. The curtains blocked the light, but the not-exactly opaque film placed on the window in the door did little to block the light. A coffee mug had stains in it. Yuck. Nice location right by the lake, but we wouldn't stay here again.

The room was a suite and was rightly upgraded in terms of space and amenities in room compared to the day before . Cafeteria quality and variety of food were limited however .
