The Lana Hotel is a beautiful and luxurious property, wonderfully set around the marina, with breathtaking surroundings and views. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff in the breakfast area were excellent — friendly, attentive, and welcoming. That said, there were a few areas where we felt the service and attention to detail could have been better. The room cleaning was somewhat disappointing at times, with certain areas being missed. On more than one occasion, we had to point out elements that had not been properly cleaned. The experience with the front-door team was also quite inconsistent. At times, the opening of doors felt selective towards certain clientele, which was noticeable and somewhat uncomfortable. Our check-in experience on the first day was also disappointing, particularly the initial greeting. It felt rather cold and lacked the warmth and welcome we have come to expect from a luxury Jumeirah property. Overall, The Lana is undoubtedly a beautiful hotel, and we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. However, having been Jumeirah members and having stayed at a number of Jumeirah properties previously, we were left feeling that the experience did not quite meet the standard we have come to expect. It is a lovely hotel nevertheless, but unfortunately, after this stay, we are not entirely sure whether we would return.
