The location was excellent. One block from the main square but the room was very quiet. Kitchen was well equipped

Loved this little hotel and will absolutely come back! I stayed a single night as a solo female traveler and felt very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, offering to hold my bag before my room was ready so I could explore more easily. I stayed in one of the attic rooms for a unique view (very worth it), but fair warning - these rooms are not for those with above 6ft tall or mobility challenges. Additionally, since it's an older historic building, the hallway creaks a bit when other guests are walking by. The hotel location is truly perfect and central for navigating all of the downtown sights. Breakfast was a fairly straightforward, small buffet selection, but did the trick. Would highly recommend this spot for others!

Excellent location

Hotel D was a modern & chic hotel a short walk to Strasbourg old city. The hotel staff was very welcoming & friendly. The hotel itself was very clean. We drove & used their parking for €25 a day. Will need to let the hotel know if you need parking as parking has limited spots for the hotel. Would highly recommend Hotel D & would stay here again.

The least I expect from any hotel is to be able to control the room temperature. I followed the instructions on the thermostat as I wanted the room to be more comfortable and not so cold. I then went to bed expecting it to work, it did nothing to increase the temperature and I was cold most of the night. I did not call reception as I did not want someone coming to the room at that time. Next day I was told the hotel heating was OFF and offered a fan heater. This is not acceptable let alone from a supposedly 5 - star hotel. I asked for a room rate reduction and got NOTHING. Needless to say I will not be returning. Other bad points - 35 Euro breakfast must be the most expensive ever (I did NOT try it) - so for two that's 70 Euros. I had a good 2 course evening meal for about the same price (NOT in the hotel of course). The Jacuzzi was only just warm enough and so not really as expected. The staff were helpful in other respects but they need to get the basics rights. Location is good although if using Uber you have to walk the last part with your luggage.

Staff was not helpful when trying to check in or out. The staff refused to allow any new guests to check in prior to the 4 o'clock stated time causing a traffic jam of guests at the desk.

Excellent location

Nice location close to the center of the city. Front desk staff is very professional and helpful. Property is well managed and kept.

We received a very tiny room less than 100sqft, no room for storage, no fridge, a double bed with about a foot space to the wall. We brought most of the luggage back to the car to have at least room to get in and out. On my complaint that I booked a bigger room, the lady at the frontdesk said it's nothing avaliable. Next day I called Expedia, and they managed to get me a bigger room, Although everything else was good, breakfast, cleanliness, location etc. , the size of the room is the reason for the poor rating.
