The hotel and most of the staff were very friendly and polite but when going into restaurants there are a few that wasn’t polite and the hostess at Monkeypod were rude.

Another great stay at the Kaimana, this time with a perfect ocean view room. We love the quiet and peace away from the main drag of Waikiki, as well as the proximity to Kapioloani Park, with its beautiful lawns and Rainbow Shower Trees.

Everything was great at the hotel just had one concern about the beach view. We booked an Oceanview room and when we looked in the room, we only able to see about 30% ocean and the rest were building and we when we talk to the staff at the lobby. They told us that you should book the diamond room, which is they didn’t have available and I said but the ocean view room should have at least a big portion of the ocean. They said yes the ocean your room should be about 50 to 60% ocean view and the partial ocean view room should be about 20 to 30%. I try to explain to the staff that our room was about 20 to 30% and they said this is what they have available right now and we should be booking the diamond room next time. I didn’t like the room view at all but i didn’t want to ruin my honeymoon so I accepted it.

Excellent staff and facilities. Pool and restaurant services were top notch. Friendly and helpful at every turn. A little limited with options for morning coffee and sunset cocktails. Dolphin pool was entertaining and educational. Very peaceful alternative to downtown Waikiki.

Our stay in the Penthouse Ocean View Suite at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel was absolutely perfect. The location is excellent—tucked away at the quieter end of Waikiki but just steps from the beach. The views of Diamond Head from the room are simply stunning and unmatched by any other property! The suite itself was incredibly spacious, spotless, and comfortable. Having a giant wrap-around balcony was the highlight of our mornings and evenings, and realizing the suite had two bathrooms was an unexpected, outstanding feature that made our trip so much easier. Highly recommend! The staff is incredible also!
