Vanuatu All inclusive Holidays

Hi Island Magic Resort is a little bit out of Port Vila which we enjoyed. We also loved the self catering....could get fresh vegies and fish from the markets but also great to have Birdies cafe on site after busy day snorkling etc. The food was delicious especially the specials and the staff were lots of fun. The villas were lovely and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It's also an easy walk to Tanna Coffee which was an added bonus.

Resort is undergoing some upgrades atm to cope with the expected influx of school holiday travelers, The rebuilt children's splash zone will be a treat once completed and the kitchen is in the process of being refit as well. Staff and management are great and a pleasure to communicate with. Prices for food and drinks are on par with town center so if you do not wish to travel there is that option, also there is a supermarket next door with ATM's on the outside of the building. If you wish to try some Kava, there is a couple of spots across the road from the supermarket.

A great hotel with amazing views and staff

For our first time in Vanuatu we managed to book 2 nights here before moving over to Port Vila for the remainder of our trip. The transfer from the airport to the banana boat and then welcome to the hotel was great after a delayed flight. If you have mobility issues, this probably isn’t the place for you as you’ll need to manage your bags on a floating pontoon. The staff are all incredible and so kind. We checked in to villa 2 and while we booked through Expedia, we were sent a text long before departing offering us an upgrade to a pool villa for a fee, We accepted the offer and it was confirmed but when we arrived, no pool. While disappointed, we didn’t raise this with staff as we could hear another couple have the same thing happen and were complaining so we didn’t want to put added pressure on the staff and just used the hotel pool. We walked to Embas beach, the shipwreck and both the local villages and it was incredible to see the local way of life. Again a reminder of our privilege. The food was great & while sometimes they’ve run out of things, you need to remember you’re on an island as an extremely privileged tourist. There are no shops or other restaurants on the island so you may want to bring over some snacks. We booked the sunrise tour on our departure day but it was cancelled due to the tide being too low. The hotel also arranged our transfer from moso to Port Vila and the trip was smooth and efficient.

We had a great stay at Holiday Inn Resort. We were able to get interconnected rooms for our family of five and this worked out well. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the pool and all the little spots to relax, and the staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Buffet breakfast was reliable - pizzas at the pool were fantastic and we loved the fire show! Only real downside was the location, a shuttle service to and from town would have been helpful, as the independent taxi driver service was a little hit or miss. We did walk to the supermarket which was doable, but did feel a bit isolated - that said, it was quiet and had a relaxing outlook over the lagoon as a result of its location.

A nice and relaxing spot. Convenient for the town and easy for families. The staff are friendly and don’t impose themselves. A few improvements needed but good enough for the price.
