The breakfast was great and worth the extra cost. Might want another hotel if you like hot water for your shower. No hot water in the first room. Second room had hot water that night but cold the next morning.

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay here, the staff were without exception friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant, food was lovely, however I thought a little pricey. Breakfast was excellent and included. Trip to airport is approx $40 dollars but feel it was worth staying a bit further away from airport to be in such lovely surroundings. Highly recommended.

Loved the sunsets, gym and room service of this beautiful hotel. Great place to spend the night before catching an early flight out of SJO.

I stayed here with my father, who uses a walker, specifically because they had wheelchair access to get through the long hallways. All of the staff in the lobby, restaurant and pool area could not have been more helpful assisting me, particularly as one must go up and down a pretty steep ramp to get to and from the room elevators to the lobby. The food in both the main and the Japanese restaurant was very good. Pro tip: if you are going to eat at the hotel for breakfast you are much better off selecting a room that comes with breakfast: there is nothing offered a la carte - and the other breakfast options are about $20. Free morning coffee! The pool area has very nice loungers and towel and bar/food service. Not fancy, but a fine experience. Lovely gift shop with coffee bar. The rooms were very clean and neat. The handicapped room had a spacious shower (half the bathroom!) with appropriate grab bars and emergency call buttons in the bathroom and next to the bed. The bathroom in the regular rooms was lovely and the room was spacious with very comfortable linens I read every review on here before selecting this hotel, and was looking for the negatives about which I had read. None of them existed. It is not a 5 star hotel or luxe pool/spa experience, but I was very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend it. .
