Great breakfasts and a relaxing place to stay.

Dawn and the whole staff were fantastic. The whole island was set up for us to use at all times.

Clean rooms the house was absolutely perfect for our wedding group. We had some of the most amazing views and it was in a perfect location near the airport. An issues we had were dealt with immediately.

Our stay at Beachcomber Island Resort was truly one of the highlights of our Fiji vacation. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by an incredibly warm and friendly team that made us feel like part of the island family. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had an enjoyable and memorable experience. The location is absolutely stunning. The resort is situated on a beautiful island surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water, white sandy beaches, and amazing snorkeling opportunities just steps from the shore. Whether relaxing on the beach, watching the sunset, or exploring the reef, the scenery was breathtaking from every angle. One of the biggest surprises was the quality of the food. Every meal was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a good variety of options. The chefs did an excellent job balancing local flavors with international selections, and the dining atmosphere overlooking the ocean made every meal even more enjoyable. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were consistently satisfying, and there was always something new to try. The resort atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between relaxation and social activities. There were plenty of opportunities to meet other travelers, participate in island activities, enjoy water sports, or simply unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The island is small enough to feel intimate yet offers enough activities to keep guests entertained throughout their stay. Overall Rating: 5/5

The Fijian staff were fantastic however the management didn't really seem to care. We stayed in a water front bungalow for 3 nights and while the accommodation itself was excellent hot water in the shower was a major problem. The people occupying two other bungalows also had hot water issues so it wasn't just ours. This was bought up with management and nothing was done about it. The resort is equipped with 2 restaurants and although the food was good the menu was limited and pricy. Only a kettle and small fridge in the unit so self catering is impossible. We were not told about available facilities so didn't know how to ask about using them, just happened upon kayaks and a volley ball net on our last night. The road in had an unlit sign so we missed it a couple of times and a tight unlit dirt road of about 1km with construction going on for the first several hundred meters. It was a bit of a drive to get to anywhere to sightsee, however if you are here you are on Fiji time. Would recommend for a beautiful location for peace and quiet.

Staff was very helpful and nice. The food was good. New management is only reason I’m not giving a 4 or 5 star. They cut corners and advertise things that are borderline false advertisement. Basically just providing the bare minimum when they could spend an extra few dollars and make the stay so much better. Overall, staff and food are great, management is terrible. Unfortunately, we will be staying elsewhere on our next trip to Fiji.

The staff here were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. The place was spotless, the scenery was beautiful, and the food was amazing. We honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I honestly cannot rate my stay at Papageno Resort in Kadavu highly enough. As a backpacker on a budget, staying here was a very special treat for me, and it exceeded every expectation. Every single member of the staff, without exception, was incredibly friendly, caring, and genuinely focused on making sure I had the best possible experience. Their warmth and kindness made such a difference, and I truly felt welcomed throughout my stay. I’m also a keen amateur birder and had read great things about the resort beforehand — it certainly did not disappoint. The location is absolutely perfect: peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by stunning nature. The food was amazing every day — beautifully cooked, thoughtfully presented, and always delicious. My bure was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and felt very special to stay in. I’m extremely grateful to everyone there for giving me such an unforgettable experience. It’s something I will remember forever. I will be recommending Papageno to everyone I know, and I truly hope that one day I’ll be lucky enough to return. Vinaka vaka levu.
