Wake Island Adults Only Holidays

First time staying at the westgate. There are a lot of issues with this hotel. First of which is the check in process. Took entirely too long and was unaware of the $100 deposit on top of the $150 resort fee. Gentleman at the front seemed nice enough so no issues there. Second, the room was disgusting, carpet wasn’t clean, the restroom was musty and the room was awkwardly warm? Like the AC was turned off so the room was sweating? It was the weirdest thing. It seemed like the ac was turned off right before we got there so the heat coming in from the window made the whole room feel wet. Also housekeeping did not come by the room a single time. The only positive was since we were in Vegas for a convention, we were almost never in the room. I think we were in there a total of 12 hours over 3 days. Casino was a casino, the tables were very affordable and fun. But PLEASE for the love of god, do not expect to get more than one drink an hour. The waitresses are SOOOOOO slow and you are not able to get more than one drink to account for the slow waitress. But from a purely gambling standpoint, the casino itself allows for multiple playstyles. Overall, if I had a choice, I wouldn’t stay here again. Only reason I know I’ll be back, is because I’m going back next year and this hotel is the closest and most affordable. Hopefully the hotel gets a facelift by then.

The lady at the front desk was kinda rude and wouldn’t listen when I was trying to explain to her. I can’t remember her name but she was an older woman with glasses. Besides that I love staying here I’ve stayed here several times.

Great place if you're not really into the casino scene. If you like to go sight seeing like Grand Canyon you can easily slip in and out of the back door since its off of the strip and avoid traffic. Theres a mall right across the street where young'ens can kinda hang out. The room we stayed in was massive for a hotel room with a kitchen, 2 bathrooms (1 being very large). The bedroom with king size bed was large. I used to stay at the Venetian which is kind of in the heart of strip and the view from there was meh. At Trump Hotel we looked out over the strip and it was a great view of the hustle and bustle of the city. One thing i wished that there was self parking. Especially with a kitchen it would have been nice to just walk to your car and get items instead of relying on waiting for Valet. I suppose you could just park in the mall parking lot across the street to do just that. So if theres an analogy, Trump Hotel is akin to a person going to a party and slipping in and out of the party unnoticed.

Great safe and quiet location. Perfect place if going to the Rose Bowl.
