Front desk & Dinning/bar area staff were overcompensating for inefficiency and rudeness of room service staff.

Instead of staying in busy Interlaken, I decided to treat the family to Beatenberg Resort and Spa, which looks amazing on website. Sadly, the website must be AI generated or 20 years old. Pros: staff were friendly, though I only saw two, at separate times. The hotel is clean, for the most part, but our bathroom had a very unpleasant odour and we literally had to ‘mouth breathe’ or feel nauseous. The views of the Alps from back of hotel are spectacular. Cons: Hotel Restaurant is closed for renovations, though there are no renovations visible. This was major problem since the few other local restaurants were full, and we had to bus back to Interlaken for food. This was not evident on booking hotel, and we were not notified. Hotel Bar does not exist, albeit listed on website. Pool table does not exist. Breakfast buffet was very poor quality. This is posted as 4 star hotel so is unacceptable. Eggs were greenish, and foul smelling. There were cold chicken nuggets (yes, chicken nuggets for breakfast) and some other items but the only thing we would eat was croissant and an apple. There is an instant coffee machine. Grounds are neglected. On website there are pics of a wedding ceremony on back grounds. I can only assume this is AI generated. All of the listed ‘activities’ refer to things that can be booked in Interlaken, not at hotel. Ultimately, this was our only mistake in Switzerland so we didnt let it ruin our trip.. However, for 1000 CHF/night stay we feel robbed.

What a pleasant stay! This is a very beautiful hotel. The pool, spa and fitness center were lovely additions to our overnight. Breakfast was fantastic!

Check in was easy, room was ready a little early.

The 25hours Hotel in Zurich has a fun, bohemian vibe and plenty of character. Our room was comfortable, and the complimentary bike rental was a real highlight. Zurich is an exceptionally bike-friendly city, and exploring on two wheels turned out to be one of the best parts of our stay. There were, however, several drawbacks. The air conditioning in our room was ineffective, which made the room uncomfortable during the warmer weather, and the lack of a Smart TV was disappointing. The surrounding neighborhood also felt a little sketchy compared with other areas of Zurich and lacked appealing dining options. One evening, we were seated at a nearby restaurant only to be completely ignored for almost 20 minutes before deciding to leave. Overall, while the hotel’s quirky design and bike program are definite positives, the location and lack of some basic comforts detracted from the experience. We enjoyed our stay, but for our next visit to Zurich, we would likely explore other hotel options.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. I met one of the house keepers and I spoke to a several of staff members they were very helpful and polite. The only thing that needs adjusting is the door it would be nice if there’s a safety chain inside as I am a solo female traveler and things like this makes me feel safer. But overall it was a wonderful experience. Thanks to airport Zürich staff.

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
