Hotel Kolovare
8/10 Good
"Medium size hotel with a pool 15 minutes from Zadar Old Town. The rooms were nice and clean, the housekeeping did a great job. No tea or coffee in the room. The pool area was pleasant, plenty of sunbeds but could do with an update. The hotel seems to cater for coach tours, large turnover of guests every night but quite empty during the day, which is nice. There is only one restaurant, which provides breakfast and both buffet and à la a carte dining in the evening. Breakfast was plentiful and a pleasant experience. The evening meal was less so as the restaurant was very busy with the large groups from the coaches. Some of the staff was polite and pleasant (receptionist, barman in the lobby bar, waitresses in the restaurant) but bar staff in the pool bar were generally indifferent and borderline rude at times. We had a sea view room but unfortunately the view was limited by the decorative grill, it would be a great improvement if that could be removed because there would be lovely views. Overall good accommodation but with some care and improvement it could be a lot better."
Hotel A'mare

"Comfortable and clean hotel an easy 10mins walk from Zadar old town. Rooms were spacious and had all amenities for our short stay. Staff welcoming and helpful. Really good breakfast choice and replenished often. Excellent value for the price. A couple of negatives though: 1) not particularly easy to find as hotel is surrounded by other buildings and the local area a bit run down 2) parking not the easiest if you come by car - we were lucky and managed to find a space quite close to hotel but generally street parking on first come, first served 3) water pressure can vary - was fine early morning but after breakfast water stopped for a while before returning. 4) the water and fruit juice from mixer and tasted very artificial. Overall, we were impressed with the hotel and think it deserves more than 3* but let down by the surrounding area. Would still stay again if returning."
Hotel Porto

"I checked in at midnight. There is a hole in the road where the entrance to the car park should be so I had a little problem finding the other way in. Car park is large. Room was fine, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was also fine Would stay again."

"Gorgeous little hotel on a cute water front harbour - Dreamy! Good service, good food & good view ! Perfect stop opposite the “island of love”!!! ‼️Sadly, this little gem has an issue which really needs addressing by the owner immediately. The beautiful room with cute harbour view had a bed with badly torn headboard on the bed in 2 places & plug socket in the bathroom hanging off exposing wires by the sink. This is not a cheap hotel price. The room was spacious, very clean & had a big bathroom so how they thought that a very badly ripped head board is acceptable & hygienic is peculiar. Like 2 x 10 inch pizza size rips !! I mentioned it to the receptionist & she told me lots of guests also mentioned it but nothing was done! This is a lovely little hotel otherwise worth its 4 stars but no one wants their bed to feel unhygienic! And as for the exposed wires in the wet room - well that’s not great or safe either.. I hope this comment wakes up the owner to taking action for hotel maintenance because it really is such a cute & nicely decorated hotel with white starched table cloths in a cute tiny harbour village…"

"Hermoso hotel en el casco antiguo de zadar, excelente ubicacion, comodo y limpio. Nosotros elegimos habitacion con baño privado, todo de maravillas, cama y almohadas super comodas ! desayuno a la carta incluido tipo brunch . Nos guardaron las valijas en el check out, y nos consiguieron taxi al aeropuerto, sin duda Volveria!!!"

"This is a lovely hotel about a 15 minute walk to the old town of Zadar. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was exceptional. The personal touch from the owner, who was around at breakfast every day, was appreciated."
