Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Žichovice?
The best area to stay in Žichovice is within the village centre itself, particularly around the main square and the areas bordering the Otava River.

This central part of Žichovice offers a pleasant base with easy access to local amenities. You'll find a few local shops and eateries, and the historic Žichovice Chateau is a prominent landmark. The village is relatively compact, making it easy to get around on foot, and the Otava River provides a scenic backdrop for strolls.

For families, staying near the river is an excellent choice. The riverbanks offer opportunities for gentle walks, and children might enjoy watching the water flow or even some supervised paddling in designated spots. The open spaces around the chateau grounds also provide room for children to play.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will appreciate the quiet surroundings of Žichovice.

It's also a great time for couples to enjoy the scenic countryside and relax by the Otava River.

For those interested in cultural events, late spring and early autumn (May and September) also offer agreeable weather, though it can be a bit cooler.
