"The Polderhuis Bed & Breakfast exceeds expectations in every regard. The property is very stately and well kept in a great location across from a park. The owner and family members were very friendly and provided great service. Our room was very clean, large and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing, featuring simple and tasty local foods. Our 3 day stay here will be one of the highlights of our 2 week visit to the Netherlands!"

"Such a great stay, made even better by Johannes! The room is very cute and has hotel level bathroom amenities. You can really tell Johannes & Inna have a professional hospitality background by the little details they put into designing the room. The location is right outside the park, a breeze if you’re comfortable biking in Amsterdam. There’s a supermarket not even one block away, a bike rental place 2 blocks away. I would totally rebook the next time I’m in town."

"Great location in Amsterdam. The host was an excellent communicator, was very welcoming and gave us lots of helpful travel advice for Amsterdam. There are steep stairs, but that is only a problem if you have mobility issues or large luggage. We would definitely stay there again."

"This is an oasis tucked into a neighborhood. We could hear the birds singing in the morning. The room and bathroom are large and comfortable. The location was great for the Metro, museums and dining. The owner was helpful and accommodating."

"Location is right in the centre so everything is within walking distance. Bus to/from airport (38 min) close by. Amiable staff. If you want a real Dutch place to stay then this is your best bet."

"Centrally located in beautiful Haarlem. Unfortunately directly within the party mile. Friday night and saturday night laughing, singing and screaming until 4.30 am directly under your bedroom - no chance for resting or sleeping 😵💫. Sunday was calmer."

"We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time at this property. The space was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, which made settling in easy. The location was convenient and made it simple to explore the area, and the overall atmosphere felt welcoming and well cared for.Communication with the host was smooth and responsive, which we really appreciated. Everything we needed was provided, and it made for a relaxing, stress-free stay. The only small issue we ran into was that there...

"the hotel is lovely. nicely redone and the restaurants and food is very good.
the only issue and its important....the mattresses are incredibly hard. like sleeping
on a table. if you like a hard mattress....this is a good thing....if you like something more comfortable....this is not the place."
"Breakfast was great, staff were lovely to stay with, the restaurant served peppermints (which we loved) , overall, it was pretty good. However, there are some downsides during our stay: Such as the fridge which was not cold at all so don’t buy milk or ham for next day supplies . There were no free bottles of water in room. As well as this, the water sold at the lobby/reception was a bit overpriced (the price being around 5 euros each) and the WiFi is a bit laggy when the three of us were using it . hotel is good and breakfast was delicious 😋 . Leonardo Hotel, thank you for having us and we will definitely come back.😄😄😄"
"Pro= Perfect location, good soundproofing, very clean, helpful staff, lovely breakfast,
Con= our room was double booked, we paid for a view of the canal, arrived and was told "Your room had maintenance issues, (which we later found out it was double booked) and we will DOWNGRADE" I was like say what, not an upgrade, so wasn't happy, This was for one night and offered us a free drink each, then ended up giving us a breakfast as well,
Moved to the new room the following day, which was lovely but the smell of cigarette smoke i the hallway was horrendous, And 3 of the 4 night when the air conditioner came on, the smell of smoke coming through. for us non smokers, and having cancer, that part wasn't pleasant. hence knocking 1 star off,"
"The hotel is very well located. The facilites are nice and confortable. Our reservación was not processed and we didnt get the room we reserve. But the staff was very help full and solve the problem. I liked the way they Handle things ans solve it."
