"Simply wonderful!! Great location, beautiful scenery with lots of toucans and other birds on the property. The villas are brand new, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Nilla and Stéphane were extremely attentive and friendly and had great recommendations for activities in the Bijuagua region. A real gem."

"This is a stunner of a place! The grounds are tropical gardens and each cabin is gorgeously designed with local and recyclable materials. breakfast in the garden is divine and dinner in the evenings is hearty with local farm fresh products. To top it all off the owners are so delightful and truly welcoming. A fabulous stay- one we hope to return to! "

Communication with the host was excellent—he went above and beyond by arranging for his dad to check me in at 1 PM, an hour earlier than the standard check-in time. The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, and the view was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!"

"Bret and his crew were awesome people, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The property is wonderful, we hiked it almost everyday following the many trails and finding plateaus with amazing views of Lake Arenal. Sitting on the patio having a favourite beverage, we listened to howler monkeys, saw white faced monkeys, and many species of birds including parrots and toucans. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend a stay at CRParaiso."

"This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. "We had a wonderful time at The Red Sunset of Guanacaste! The house is amazing, the views are spectacular and the host, Patrick, was so so helpful! And we can’t say enough about the wonderful delicious healthy breakfasts that Lisa and Mar made every day. Each day Patrick helped with our plans , sometimes arranging in advance. He also had terrific recommendations for dinner, we all loved the evening at Gingerbread Restaurant, a superb dining experience.Can not say enough good things , thank you Patrick!"
