Lovely Atmosphere
Lovely home atmosphere at the hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, food was good quality. Metro and buses very close, many places of interest close by. Nice touches in the hotel such as a room with free tea and coffee, books and sofas for guests to use at any time. Very good amenities in the rooms.

Nice hotel but not great
The hotel has a distance from the very center. Also the building itself is complicated, a lot of stairs. The restaurant is ok but long waiting time for the food to be served

When a picture doesn't tell a story..
The reviews for this hotel are excellent and the pictures are fabulous, so we arrived at the place with great anticipation. The reality was slightly different. First it is one of the city's main streets and is actually quite a small hotel. The reception is tiny while the room was also diminutive. What, however, is surreal is the number of staff who work in the hotel and the total lack of any foreign languages spoken let alone English. The restaurant is expensive but the service is comical. We requested hot milk for coffee but got the reply, "not today". The "waitress" not only gave no reason but giggled at the request. This was not customer first but the customer's an idiot type of behaviour, particularily as another customer eventually came to our help and got the hot milk. The TV has a selection of English speaking films which took 3 telephone calls to access. The hotel has a French feel to it with paintings of France on the wall and French music playing in the public areas. The hotel needs a small refurbishment and some English (or even French) speaking staff before the World Cup in June!!!

Fit for a Czar
My wife and I were extremely pleased with our extended stay at the Renomme. Starting with the positives: the staff is among the friendliest and helpful in our travels. The breakfast is fantastic with such a variety of meats (sausages, fish, ham), cheese, 3 or more types of breads or pastries, fresh fruits and vegetables, and daily squeezed juices. Hot items included pancakes (blini), fish, potatoes, eggs, 2 types of cereal, and more. Cooked to order items are also available. The property is centrally located to public transportation (bus and subway). Shopping at Greenwich is a treat as are other large multi-store centers; all within easy walking distance. The standard room provides adequate "move around" space though it lacks sufficient storage space to avoid living out of a suitcase over a lengthy stay; there is room to include another cabinet or dresser, and a microwave would have been a plus. The bathroom also lacks in adequate counter space, and again there is area to provide another few shelves or a cabinet. The combination "deep" tub and shower is the largest drawback as access into the shower is almost a hazard and getting out is even worse. Better bathroom ventilation would be a plus. The property is excellently maintained and clean.

The staff make the difference
I only stayed one night at the Tenome it wish I could have stayed longer. The room was very comfortable, and the central location made it easy to explore the city. It was actually my birthday and when the staff realised the surprised me with cake and a small gift which made me day. Highly recommended!
