"This is a very convenient place to stay for dining and the beach! Our room at the end of the building closest to the beach has an unbelievable view that we loved! The downside of the view is that the music from town can be very intrusive. Just bring earplugs and enjoy! The description of the hotel says they have a bar and breakfast. There is no bar and the breakfast is offsite. It’s only a block or so away so not too much of a hardship but you won’t be having breakfast in bed. We had to change our reservation by a day and while I had difficulty with Hotels.com, this property worked with us which was GREATLY appreciated! Really lovely and convenient place to stay!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Enchanted Monkey House. The layout is open and breezy with big windows and patio doors that look straight out to the ocean. Morning coffee on the deck quickly became a favourite part of our day. The view is incredible.You literally fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of nature and the ocean. It’s peaceful, quiet and feels completely tucked away even though you’re just a short drive from town.The bay below the house is a short walk down some steps and we went snorkeling there a few times. It’s a rocky beach but at low tide you can walk to a sandy area. Most of the time we had the whole beach to ourselves. Occasionally we saw people fishing or snorkeling but no one was ever there when we went down.We were a family of five and the house was perfect for us. The kitchen was fully equipped though we mostly used it for coffee and snacks since we ate in town. It’s only about a 7–8 minute drive to restaurants and shops in San Juan del Sur.The power did go out a few times during our stay but it was never a big issue. Only once did it last a few hours. The rest were just a few minutes and only one happened at night. We just used our phones as flashlights and carried on.Donna the host was always quick to respond and Yubran the caretaker was around if we needed anything. We felt really well taken care of.Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful scenic place that still gives you easy access to town. We’d happily stay here again."

"Cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband, one year old, and I stayed here. The location is excellent, steps away from gorgeous Coco Beach and a sparkling swimming pool. Along the shore the facility has comfy Adirondack chairs and beach loungers right by the shore. Maybe we saw 10 people on the beach on the busiest day. The condo is gorgeous with all the appliances you’d need- microwave, oven, stove, fridge, washer/dryer, can opener, utensils, etc. There is air conditioning throughout the house. The community is gated and felt very safe with security personnel present on the grounds. The road there is under construction, at this time there is only a short stint of a well maintained dirt road- the rest is paved. We made it easily in our sedan. I do recommend stopping to get groceries in Rivas on the way down- the area is remote and private :) "
