Hotel Grand United 21st Downtown

"The room was nice, and clean. Several things to recommend ... daily housekeeping, a good fridge, a bathtub, an excellent breakfast on the rooftop level ( tables on two terraces and also inside) - a good fast lift too. However this hotel is really quite old, the view from my room on the 7th floor was nondescript to say the least ( though not the hotel's fault I suppose !) the plumbing in my bathroom quite disgraceful ( four separate fixable faults !) but the bathroom was quite agreeable, and still usable. The staff were competent and almost friendly. Certainly one of the better options for a stay in downtown Yangon, but you get what you see, the newer and more expensive hotels are further out."

"I had a wonderful experience everything met or was well over what I expected. I had one of the best experiences staying in a hotel. I would definitely go back there again. I had no complaints about anything in the hotel, it was a special night special stay. Also I found that everything in the room Including fixtures and fittings and sanitary ware was all of top quality and excellent products. So far it is the only five star hotel that I've stayed at a in Yangon that is worthy of a five star rating."

"The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive, spoke great English, helpful whenever we asked for something like water, shampoo or an umbrella. The location is great - nearby street food, convenience stores, restaurants. We will stay there again next summer."

"What an amazing place! The Governor's Mansion is a beautifully landscaped, well-maintained boutique hotel with so much history and charm. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and bright. The staff are all very professional, kind and helpful. If you want a relaxing and pampered place, the Governor's Mansion is a good choice."
