The moment you step onto this historic piece of property, you’ll know how special it is! Originally the Ludlow Schoolhouse #8 in 1830, this home was converted in 1930 & most recently, fully renovated in 2023. You’ll love the new kitchen with granite counters and new appliances. This home boasts four cozy bedrooms, a second floor bonus room with TV, and a dedicated workspace. We provide the coffee & get you started with soaps; linens and towels are also provided. We take great pride in our home, and our cleaning standards are beyond expectation. You’ll love your stay here: far enough away to hear the crickets at night, yet close enough to town for all your needs and attractions.

This house was perfect for our group! We enjoyed how close it was to restaurants and shopping areas. The yard is large enough for outdoor activities, it’s shaded, clean and secluded. At night, the fire pit was great to sit around. The house was very clean and they even had their flag half mast for 9/11.All around a great experience.

Summer Break at the Schoolhouse

Our group of women who all met working at a school district here in Ohio, had the best time at this converted old schoolhouse. The house was very comfortable and roomy, and we were amazed at the attention to detail. We took a trip to Yellow Springs, which was a short 10 minute drive. We will definitely recommend this house to friends and family.

From the moment we arrived it felt welcoming and cared for. The space was cozy, smelled amazing, and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a true home away from home. Clean, well stocked with random things like coffee, medical kit, toiletries. Country setting but close enough to small cities and hiking. I contacted the owner about a non emergency question and was replied to immediately. Communication was great the entire time. Everything about our stay was superb! The sunsets were pretty amazing too!!

Grad weekend

The house is well appointed, clean and comfortable. Worked well as we needed 4 beds for family on graduation weekend. We had a lot going on elsewhere, but wish we had more time to relax and enjoy the home and patio. Loved the history and what they’ve done with it.

Perfect for our family with grandparents

We stayed for the weekend of Cedarville University’s graduation and were so pleased with our stay. The home is beautiful, exceptionally clean, so tastefully decorated. My parents who were in town from Orange County Ca said they would love to the Midwest if they could live in a house like the schoolhouse. We loved our stay! 10/10 across the board!

The Schoolhouse was perfect for our wedding weekend!

Our family loved the Schoolhouse and couldn’t have been happier with the proximity to Yellow Springs for our son’s wedding. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for everyone! Beautiful Schoolhouse.

Beautiful restoration of an old schoolhouse. It is decorated so cute. The fire pit area was amazing, it was truly a relaxing and wonderful stay. I can’t think of anything that would have made it any better! We will definitely stay there again. Thank you to our hosts!

Wonderful property & Great Location

Such a pleasure staying at this completely remodeled school house! This home comes with everything you need for a relaxing stay! The owners have provided many thoughtful extras throughout the home! We had a time enjoying the fire pit and custom swinging benches. The owners are super easy to communicate with and are very kind! We’ll be coming back to stay at this property every chance we get!

One of the BEST!!

From the moment we walked in, we were in awe of this house. It immediately smelled clean and inviting. The owners thought of everything! The kitchen was fully stocked for any cooking/eating you would want to do! They even supply some basic spices and coffee/tea.There is plenty of onsite parking and the house is conveniently located to get to many places easily. We would definitely return if we are planning to be in the area again. This is a beautiful, clean home that the owners really take pride in!

Beautifully renovated historical building (school) offered the perfect backdrop to our weekend in Dayton for the Air Force Marathon. Every room is curated to offer magazine worthy decor with functional comfort. My family has stayed in dozens of rental properties all over the country, and this one was one of the best ever. It exceeded our expectations. The owner was so kind and communicative and went well above and beyond. The home and property were immaculate. They have thought of every little detail. My kids loved it, as well. It is conveniently located near restaurants and stores, but it is in a peaceful, country setting. It also felt very safe. The home was very spacious for our family of five.
