Vacation Serenity In A Quiet Neighborhood

Updated 1970's house, reminiscent of childhood vacations at the beach, provides a comfortable, relaxing home in a quiet south end neighborhood. Easy access makes it just a 2 minute walk to the beach and a hop and skip to view stunning sunsets over the sound. A bird sanctuary is a block away on the south tip of the island. Terns nest there during the summer. It's a great place for children to bike, scoot or skateboard on child friendly streets so between the beach, the sound, and the neighborhood, children can spend lots of time outside. Fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare fresh seafood dishes for a family meal. Open floor plan allows for ease of entertaining.
The 4 bedrooms supply 2 queen and 2 double beds with 2 full baths located between rooms. Enjoy ocean breezes while rocking in rocking chairs on the front porch, in the mornings with coffee, after a day at the beach with a beer or glass or wine, or star gazing at night. The carport entrance is covered in jasmine for delicious smells when it's blooming in June. Parking for up to 6 cars is a plus as parking on the side of the street is not allowed and guests can visit during the day without paying public parking fees. The house provides 2 TV's, wifi, dvd player, and a radio/CD player.
The utility room below supplies a washer and dryer, boogie board, skim board, sand toys and comfortable beach chairs. An outside charcoal grill makes it easy to cook while watching the sunset over the sound.
If you want to live a simple life of ease and relaxation on your vacation, this house and location is perfect.

The property definitely needed some upgrading on the outside, paint etc. i had a major safety concern for railing at back door. A child could definitely fall easily from there. We kept that door locked most of the time. Everything we needed was at the house. The book described where to put laundry differently than the listing, this concerned the yellow bag. Child’s room was well equipped. My granddaughter loved that. I loved the steamer pan

December graduation

Lovely stay. The location is fabulous and we (ages 17-89) thoroughly enjoyed spending time together in the roomy house and exploring the beach. Would love to stay here again.

Perfect family beach week

Nancy's beach house had everything a family could possibly need for a fun and relaxing beach week. The kitchen was well stocked, the beach gear was organized and ready to go, and Nancy was extremely responsive when we had questions. The house is an older beach cottage, but it's very clean and well maintained. Thank you Nancy for an old-fashioned, peaceful beach week with our loved ones.

Family Fun

Great vacation spot ...very quiet area

Great place to stay and do close to the beach. Enjoyed the house with plenty of room. Kitchen has everything you need and plenty of games and other stuff for kids. Nice to have the additional tv in one of the bedrooms. Hope to return soon!

Good location

The property is nice and in a good location. This was our second year in a row staying here and we had hoped to continue staying here. Unfortunately, after taking our reservation for next year, Nancy cancelled it because her niece wanted the week we booked. While it is a year out, it is very difficult to find good property in this area of Wrightsville beach, so it really puts us in a bind now.

Comfy Vaca!!

What an awesome stay. My family was visiting to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. The house was great! Really comfy, clean, and had everything we needed. Perfect location! Right at the beach, minutes from great food and shopping. Definitely a repeat stay! Owners were very nice and always responded quick to any questions. What a trip!

Very pleased

The property was in a great location on the south end, with beach access very close and less foot traffic than areas closer to the piers. The house was clean and had mostly anything you would need. The beds were not the most comfortable, but that is our only complaint. Will definitely stay there again!

WONDERFUL

We felt so at home! The house is comfortable and complete with everything we needed to make our getaway celebration spectacular. Lovely neighborhood to take a walk, close to many activities and short stroll to the beach. Our mini -family reunion was a success and everyone wants to come back next year, all the way from California - so worth it!

Great beach experience!

Nice four bedroom setup with two jack and Jill bathrooms between each pair. Easy walk to the beach at the northern end of Wrightsville Beach. Kite surfers and wind surfers use this part of the beach so plenty of interesting action. Everything in the house is in perfect working condition!
