4 members of our family stayed in this great cabin and we loved the lake views! We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit, roasting our hot dogs and making Smores! A great relaxing vacation time!
This cabin was a quiet retreat away from the business of life. We felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves, hardly saw anyone else out on the water. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Very fun place to stay.
Our family stayed at this VRBO because our son was getting married at a Vineyard & Winery on a lake nearby. We chose this VRBO because of its location and size. The property was fantastic!!! Highly recommend it!
Quiet, peaceful, and clean. Good fishing, great amenities, and a very cozy place for a lakefront getaway. The whole process was organized and simple, and the home has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Bait shop nearby, 10 mins from Spirit Lake.
The property was amazing; beautiful home, lots to do, quiet and peaceful!! We didn’t catch a big fish but we will be back to try!! Thank you for making our family trip al that we wanted!!
Beautiful unique property on a quiet lake. We loved ever minute of it Loved the smell of the pines as you walk the property. Gorgeous view of the lake from the house. House was very comfortable with anything you would need.
We hope to go back next summer!
This was the first vacation that my family has been able to take in a long while and it was wonderful! The yard was large enough to play games and have a fire and the lake perfect for our kids to kayak. The drive into Okoboji was short and easy and we found lots to do. With a large family, it's hard to keep everyone happy, yet they all can't wait to come back!
This property is amazing in many ways. It is completely private, has two docks and two fireplaces. It is very well stocked with all supplies, very clean and spacious and has a lot of little surprises like dog treats, frozen beer glasses in the freezer, many games to play etc. We have stayed at many cabins and this one rates the highest of all of them! We will be back!!
Everything you need plus some. We stayed with 3 boys ages 3, 6, and 8. This house had everything to keep us all entertained even when our outdoor plans where dampened by the weather a bit. The location itself is stunning, then to have all the amenities provided inside too was just top of the line! Very clean, very welcoming!
Communication with hosts was excellent. The spot was beautiful and quiet for the most part. There was great access to the lake with two dock options. Neighbors were a little noisy in building their addition, but no other issues outside of that. The lodge was accommodating and loved having two fire pits with plenty of firewood. It was a nice little nature reset for my husband and I, although we both said it would be a great spot to bring the rest of our immediate family since we’re so many beds.
We recently rented this amazing cabin. Although our stay was unfortunately right after all the flooding, my family had a blast fishing off the main dock. The large fire pit was used several times for making smores and just enjoying family. We were very satisfied with the cabin and all the special memories shared with all of our family members. We were close enough to Spirit Lake and Lake Okoboji. I loved showing my grand children Arnold’s Park and experiencing nutty bars with them. So much to do nearby. Thank you Chad and Kim for providing a beautiful home to share priceless memories.
We had 8 adults and 2 dogs spend 4 nights at Kim and Chad's cabin. We loved how secluded and private it was! The yard is huge and our dogs loved running around and going swimming. The water access was probably the only downfall since it is a steep climb down and only a rocky area to get in the water. The steps down and the dock are both well-maintained, so it was still nice to go onto the water! The best way is to use the Lily Pads they provide to jump onto to get into the water. The cabin itself was very nice and clean with quality furniture. The beds are all Sleep Number, so make sure to check the settings! We all slept with the setting at 100 the first night until we realized it was adjustable. All the different sleeping options were very nice so we were able to spread out with a spacious bed. The patio with the firepit right by it was our favorite place to hang out. Kim was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. Definitely recommend!
My friends and I were at the cabin in the absolute dead of winter and it was a great place to hunker down and hang out. Stood apart from other cabins I've rented in that it felt like an actual, human *place* instead of the usual quickly-rehabbed-with-the-same-flooring-and-decorations cabin rental vibe
Our hosts, Chad and Kim were great! Kind and helpful when we had questions. They have a true gem of a cabin on the lake. It’s a little piece of heaven! It fit the whole family and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We’d love to stay here again anytime
What a beautiful place to stay. We loved how it was nestled in the woods quiet and beautiful views of the lake. Spectacular sunrise viewsFishing wasn’t good but we enjoyed sitting on the dock. So much to do in the area too. Wineries and breweries and shops everywhere We loved it !
