I’ve never written a review before, and I’m solely writing this to warn other people about this host.Our stay was fine but after we checked out, our experience took a turn. We were presented with very unjust charges. The host attempted to charge us an additional 150 cleaning fee on top of the 250 dollar cleaning fee we already payed, over what was described as “sticky floors” and cardboard left at the fir pit.In addition, the host charged us 85 for string lights because a few bulbs were missing. During our stay, some of the bulbs fell out because they were old, rusted, and already in bad condition. We were charged 170 for a sliding glass door that was already broken before we arrived. Then, the host charged us 100 for “broken” chess pieces, even though we never touched the chessboard during our stay.What made the situation even more unsettling was that the host referenced numerous specific conversations and parts of our stay, making it clear he had been continuously watching us through the property’s security cameras. That was a very uncomfortable feeling and raised concerns about our privacy as it was mostly women at this property. I reached out to the host to explain our side and to address the charges, but he was unwilling to listen or consider anything we had to say.Altogether, it felt like the host was looking for reasons to add hundreds of dollars in extra charges (exactly 505) to make some extra money. Based on our experience, I would not book again.
