Lumley Castle Hotel
We had an excellent stay in a castle room- you could really get the old building vibes but in a renovated room! The property itself is well maintained and beautiful, the staff are very kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. An absolutely wonderful stay!

The room we were staying, the decor was tired - not worthy of a 4 star hotel unfortunately. Upon arrival, wardrobe door was hanging off hinges, the wifi receiver box was hanging of the wall - room was also very dark. Durham City Cottages
Parking excellent,room adequate,host very welcoming.Toilet seat didn’t fit toilet & kept sliding around.Very awkward & uncomfortable.

The Bothy-Detached cottage,1 mile from Barnard Castle, Pet Friendly, EV Charger
