  • Bright, open, and stunningly positioned where the Sheepscot River meets the Atlantic Ocean, this oceanfront home on Kehail Point is the Midcoast Maine escape you've always dreamed of. This special house is full of natural wood and stone finishes, stainless steel appliances, and plentiful windows, including a wall of windows in the living room that frame incredible views of the water. You'll have an in-home fitness room with a treadmill and an elliptical machine, a wrap-around deck with rocking chairs overlooking the ocean, as well as a wet bar and two fireplaces - one wood and one gas - to make cool coastal evenings all the more cozy.

    This waterfront home is located on scenic Kehail Point, 12 miles south of darling downtown Wiscasset and Maine's famous Route 1. If you take the short drive up to town, you'll find one of the most beloved lobster rolls in Maine at Red's Eats, as well as canoes and kayaks to rent at Wiscasset Trading Post. When you're not relaxing in this spectacular setting, you'll also be wonderfully positioned for day trips around the Midcoast, whether you choose to explore the historic shipbuilding town of Bath (20 miles west), charming Boothbay Harbor (25 miles southeast), or Georgetown Island and Reid State Park (30 miles southwest).

The house is beautiful. We really enjoyed the deck and water view. There are stairs down to the water but the coast is very rocky with lots of seaweed so not optimal for swimming. Otherwise we loved the home, and it was as shown in photos!

Beautiful views. House was very nice but had some trouble trying to unlock the door. Had on the site there was a beach. Where’s the beach? I didn’t see any beach. There were just large boulders.

gorgeous place!

The location was amazing, views are outstanding. The house itself is beautiful, huge, clean, and the fireplace is great. The woodwork & cabinetry are awesome, nice finishes, etc. There were a few things that the house could use - hair dryers, lamps in the living room, instructions on the lighting in the house (confusing and hard to find what you are looking for), and some sort of dresser or shelves in the 3rd bedroom would be great. I can't wait to go back! It is a keeper!!

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY

GORGEOUS house and view! Very spacious and accommodating. Things you should know before booking is that it is about an hour away from anything and everything. House could use some more TV's if you're going with children, pinball machines did not work and neither did "workout equipment" which was an elliptical and treadmill. One of the showers did not work and some of the fans that were provided did not either. I think its a tad over priced for its distance to do things but the views from the deck were amazing.

Vacation in Westport

The views from the house were spectacular! However, we were without hot water for 2 days. The property mgmt team was lax in getting this problem rectified. In addition, it was mentioned the pinball machines, elliptical and treadmill didn't work and there were issues with some of the lights flikering or not working at all. These problems weren't addressed while we were vacationing at the house.

Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.

THIS HOUSE USES WELL WATER. IF THE WELL RUNS DRY...YOU HAVE NO WATER...WHICH IT DID TO US! THIS MEANS NO BATHROOM! THE VIEWS WERE OCCULDED BY TREES, CUT SOME DOWN. ONLY ONE HAIR DRYER FOR 3 BEDROOMS. ONE LIGHT SWITCH WAS EXTREMELY HOT.

Westport

The property was absolutely beautiful and very well supplied with kitchen supplies, as well as towels, etc. The issue was getting into the property. door did not work. We got into the house through the garage, which was left unlocked The water was not hot. taking a shower was lukewarm at best. the doors were extremely difficult to open. There were two sets of instructions for leaving, one was on your site. The other was printed out and left at the property. You need to have just one set of instructions that agree. Fabulous property, however it needs more outdoor seating. it sleeps 10 however, they were only 4 chairs on the deck. The views were awesome, very quiet and peaceful.

great place to relax. Appreciated the lack of 'over decor'. Many of these place are so over done & way too busy. house def needs updates & some basic home maintenance prob just due to age. Very clean. Not the best place to be if you plan on site seeing. We werent, so perfect for us

Lovely get away

A little off the beaten path but setting and water views from Kehail point are well worth it. Quiet, serene, beautiful. Perfect escape from our otherwise crazy lives.

Spectacular Location

We loved the location of this property. The wrap around porch overlooking the water was amazing. The kitchen was equipped for what we needed and there was plenty of space to relax. The property itself needs some TLC. Many of the windows are inoperable and those that worked had screens that were in disrepair. The showers in the 2 bathrooms downstairs were not working properly. Mattresses were comfortable but could use mattress pads to cover up the stains. Maintenance crew responded quickly to a window that we could not crank closed.
